A file on disk is not operations friendly.
The Mossy Dekalogue · Law 13 of 14 · decreed 2026-11-02 by FiremanDeckoNo file-on-disk databases. A file on disk is not operations friendly. Deployed services use standardized, web-friendly, managed data stores — the same architecture as fenrir-ledger (Google Firestore) and say-so (Supabase Postgres).
A file on disk is a story tied to one machine: it dies with the machine, it sleeps when the machine sleeps, and no watcher sits over its backups. The night the disk fails, the truth of the service fails with it. A managed store keeps that watch instead — backup, failover, access, all tended by hands that never tire — and a service reborn on any machine in the world finds its truth already waiting.
The garden already keeps the pattern: the wolf's ledger counts its coins in Google Firestore, and say-so keeps its sayings in Supabase Postgres. First holding of the law: mytruthfinder — its truth kept in Cloud SQL for PostgreSQL, the managed country of that name.
