The Build Story
The old hosts of the sídhe did not pour out of one door — every mound in the field kept its own, and when the mist rose they came forth one per mound, each to its own errand, each returning by the gate it had left. This backlog was built to that arrangement: a worker per todo, and each worker given its own ground to break — a git worktree apiece — so that no two ever dig the same soil or quarrel over the one spade. The gates are guarded the way the bruidhean's doors were guarded: a task may not pass from one state to another except by the lawful turning, and no worker comes home claiming what it did not finish. Prompts are drafted before any runner is sent, calls are traced on the return, and the TUI pane keeps the hillside watch — the whole discipline carried over from the southern house's backlog and rebuilt under the wing-sandaled messenger's name. The old stories are exact about what happens when a host leaves by one gate and returns by another; this one never has. The moss has learned the path to every worktree by now, and marks each finished mound green.
