The Plain Facts, Carved
What It Is
Told in the Seanchaí Tradition
The Build Story
The bog is the great remembering-ground of Ireland — what falls into it is not lost but kept: butter held five thousand years, swords, kings, all of it patient under the moss and waiting to be asked. The seanchaí's trade was exactly this — the walking of the soft country and the hauling up of what sank, by feel, through the dark. So this pane was cut to walk Honcho's memory the same way: sessions laid down like strata, metadata like the grain of the peat, documents and insights sunk each at its own depth, any one of them to be brought up whole into the light. It speaks the household's own tongue to the agents' memory-keeper, yet stands alone against any Honcho that will have it — a staff that probes whatever bog it is set to. The moss grows thickest over the caches, which is how you know they are warm. What the bog keeps, the walker can always bring back; that is the whole covenant.
