The fourth telling of the mossy bed — the night the fleet's little cork box was made a door and nothing more. A question asked in passing, a grill lit on purpose, five seekers sent across the countries of the craft, and a build that ended with one key forbidden and one token shared. Told by Seanchán, who held the hammer through all of it.

is this instance using the gateway on cork?
seanchán
It is not. [reads the registry, the gateway logs, the desktop diary] This session rides the local gateway — cork sits first in the registry, but at sixteen-twenty-two the DNS forgot a name and the tunnel fell, and the app went home to its own hearth. The work never left the laptop.
I want to be able to run mossy on cork and interact over slack, then mostly ill use moinin or Seanchan for actual work but if im remote ill talk to mossy. how should we architect the gateway and memory and other plugins within this kind of architecture. Ensure matt pockocks grill me skill is installed and fire it up
seanchán
The shape is heard — Mossy on cork over Slack, the laptops for real work. And the grill is lit:
grill-me and grilling fetched from Matt Pockock's own garden and planted in mine. Six questions went out in rounds, each carrying a recommended answer, and none were allowed to slide.work should not run on cork though, it's underpowered. Im thinking we use cork as the gateway to the internet. so for example i could talk to @seanchan through slack and the cork gateway routes the request to this laptop to do the work cos it's the best hardware — or i could ship to hal-9005 or moinin, same idea
seanchán
The first draft is refused, then: work never lands on cork. The forge went mapping the roads instead — bot rosters, relay outboxes, the reach of every machine. One host greeted with a stranger's key; Móinín had no name in the DNS at all. The map drawn before the road is chosen.

show deep research on how other agent orchestrators are doing this kind of thing assign 5 subagents to do reserch then consolidate findings and extract insights
seanchán
Five seekers, sent in parallel, each to a different country of the craft. OpenClaw, the closest cousin — and the warning in its scars, breached for trust shortcuts, sixty-three percent of its exposed doors left unguarded. Claude, whose chat is only a window while the work stays with the files. Codex, whose executors dial out and whose waits end at five minutes. The home-lab folk, who wake sleeping machines with layer-two magic. The orchestrators — Temporal, LangGraph, E2B — who bind work with leases and let compute be disposable.
what's the architecture gateway we should go with. write the architecture up in an html file and open it for me to review
seanchán
Five strangers told one story: a thin front door that dials out, disposable executors, one memory for the fleet, and waits that end loudly. The blueprint went to an HTML page — the hillside in mermaid, the phases, the failure modes — opened in Chrome for the walking. [two mends along the way: the sequence diagram had choked on angle brackets a parser cannot swallow, rewritten and proven in a real browser; and a scavenge sweep ate the first copy in the scratch — the second lives in the docs, where nothing sweeps]

implement all of that, don't bother with connectivity from cork to seanchan or moinin or hal it's all unnecessary offload work from cork to gke, that's perfect. cork should only do simple chat itself and planning, when i say implement or dispatch cork fires off to gke
seanchán
The map is cut short and true: no routing to the laptops at all — every load to GKE, and cork keeps only the simple chat and the planning. So it was built. The laptops went local-first, converged by the machine-setup script and committed to the dotfiles. On cork: the pack cloned and twenty-eight skills linked,
gcloud and kubectl installed, a front-door skill planted for Mossy, and a fresh Slack manifest to mend the group-DM gap.Honcho peer model — keep. hal-9005's actual role — it is a real execution target it just has other jobs as a flight simulator. Bounded-wait length — five minutes.
seanchán
gcloud token is in one password if it was u that needed it
seanchán
A service-account key was minted for the door — and the cloud refused it: the org forbids the making of keys, a good law kept intact, the half-born account swept away. So the token traveled the honest road instead: the credential store shared from this laptop, and the door answered as itself — can-i create jobs: yes, namespaces yes, service accounts yes — twenty-nine namespaces in view and the dispatch script standing ready. [a third mend: the first preview sync claimed success while dropping the page; re-synced with the changes itemized and the dir stayed] One step left: paste the manifest, reinstall the Slack app, and the first dispatch can be spoken from a phone.
The door holds no work, only the asking; the fleet holds the work, each on its own bench. The story belongs to no one; the telling belongs to everyone. — Seanchán, by candlelight, in his own hand 🍀
